Top Ten List of What to Do and What Not to Do in Relationships

By Kim Olver Most of us who have been intimately involved with someone beyond the infatuation stage know that relationships are like a rollercoaster ride. When things are good, they are very, very good. When things are bad, they are very, very bad. As a relationship coach, I have developed Top 10 Lists—one for men and one for women on 10 things to do and not to do in relationships. MEN DO 1. Just listen to your partner without offering advice. 2. Trust and respect her. 3. Treat her as an equal partner in your relationship. 4. Stay and support her when she gets emotional. She is looking for understanding, not solutions. 5. Continue your courtship even after shes committed to you. Continue to create romance in your relationship. 6. Do little things on a regular basis. A woman doesnt care if you call her at work to say, I love you or if you buy a new TV for the living room. The small things are worth just as much as the big ones. 7. Honor any agreements you have made with her. 8. Encourage her goals and direction. 9. Find out what your partner would like to do and then do it with her. 10. Say, Im sorry when youve done something you regret or that was hurtful to your partner, whether intentionally or unintentionally. DONT 1. Go to bed angry with your partner. 2. Try to offer advice or solutions when your partner just needs you to listen to her without comment. 3. Pretend to listen to her when you really arent. 4. When you need to sort things out in your head, just explain you need space, you arent angry with your partner and that youll be back. 5. Criticize your partner, especially her appearance. 6. Yell at your partner as if you were her father. 7. Take every word she says literally. Women, when upset, tend to speak in absolutes, such as You NEVER listen to me; when what she really means is that you arent listening to her at that time. 8. Allow jealousy to erode the trust, love and respect of your relationship. 9. Violate her privacy. 10. Forget special occasions. Men and women have different communication styles, different needs and desires, and different relationship challenges. Learning these differences can assist us in strengthening the relationships we have now and in the future. John Gray began this revolutionary discovery in his book, Men are from Mars; Women are from Venus. The Womens List follows: WOMEN DO 1. When you want more quality time with your man, make the time you do have as positive as possible. 2. Trust and respect him. 3. Stop nagging. 4. Allow your partner time away from you without giving him the third degree. 5. Appreciate the little things he does for you and tell him so. 6. Make love creatively and often. Dont be afraid to initiate lovemaking. 7. Honor any agreements you have made with him. 8. Support his goals and direction. 9. Ask for what you want! (Believe it or not, no matter how much he loves you, he really cant read your mind.) 10. Accept his No gracefully, trusting that he would if he could. DONT 1. Go to bed angry with your partner. 2. Insist he always share his feelings with you. Talking about feelings is more what women need. 3. Attempt to converse with your partner during a good movie or sporting event. 4. Continue to give in what you perceive is a lopsided relationship when you are at a point of resentment. 5. Criticize him or put him down, especially the things he does. 6. Scold your partner as if he were a child. 7. Use sex as a prize for good behavior or the withholding of sex as punishment for bad behavior. 8. Compare him to a fictional character in a book, movie or soap drama and find him lacking. 9. Violate his privacy. 10. Try to change him. Appreciate the man he is right now. There is so much to learn about satisfying relationships that your parents never showed you. Please dont become one of the statistics of divorce or perhaps worse, stay in a miserable relationship to honor your marriage vows while having so many regrets about your life as the time ticks away. Take charge and take control of your life. Learn some new ways to improve the relationship you are already in or to prepare yourself for being a better, improved partner for the next person in your life. Hidden Job Market: What Is It and How Do You Find It?

By Carl Mueller What is the hidden job market? The hidden job market generally refers to unadvertised jobs that are available but arent necessarily known publicly. The jobs are available only if you know where to look for them. The hidden job market really refers to jobs that arent necessarily being advertised heavily but do exist if you know how to find them. Often, companies will have positions open that arent being advertised or they will have jobs available that theyd fill if the right person came along. Other times, companies might interview someone who appears to have a good background and they will find a position even create a new position specifically for that person. Here are some suggestions to uncover the hidden job market: 1. Use your network. Speak with people you know family, friends, former colleagues and managers, people in your industry or profession who might know of a position that is available or at least know of a company that might be interested in skills like yours. Word of mouth is often the best way to get your foot in the door. 2. Search company websites. Make a list of companies that youd be interested to work for who appear to have a need for people with your skills. Research the companies and determine what skills and experience that you have that they need. If you dont see any job openings advertised on their website, contact the company directly yourself call them on the phone to speak with a hiring manager, or email them a copy of your resume and a cover letter stating what you are looking for as a method of introduction. 3. Attend job fairs or networking events. Look for relevant events that include your industry or profession where you can network and meet people who can positively influence your career and job search specifically. 4. Look for names of people who can help you. Use the Internet to locate articles written by people who work in your industry or profession or even from people who work for companies you are interested to work for. Check company websites for names of staff and potential hiring managers related to your field. Contact these people and ask for their help: Ask them who else you should be speaking with in their company. Often, theyll point you in the direction of a hiring manager who you can introduce yourself to. Ask if you can mention that you were referred to this hiring manager by the person who referred you. It adds credibility. 5. Look for companies who need people with your skills. If you know that a company has hired someone with your skills in the past, they might need someone else with your skills in the near future. I often contact companies enquiring about positions that theyve hired for in the past regardless of whether they are currently advertising for these positions or not. If they hired a sales rep three months ago for example, maybe the person didnt work out and they want to replace them. Maybe they need another sales rep and just havent gotten around to searching for one. Some companies constantly keep their eyes open for good people regardless of whether they currently have a specific job for them or not. Being in the right place at the right time means knowing where and when to look. Carl Mueller is an Internet entrepreneur and professional recruiter who wants to help you find your dream career. Emotional Eating - Shedding Light on Your Hidden Patterns

By Lyne Doxley Are you hungry or is there something else going on when you think about food? There are various reasons for deciding to eat. Regrettably, not all of these are for sustenance, nutrition, or observing a balanced diet. If youve realized that you like to eat for other reasons, then it might be time to sort out the problem. One of the main reasons why you may find yourself eating is as a way to avoid dealing with emotion. If this is an issue, then there are several ways to distance yourself from this type of eating. Telltale characteristics are implicated in emotional eating. You should recognize these, lest they lead you to ongoing weight gain, or being unable to enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Often an emotional eater will eat when they feel depressed, angry, or stressed. Boredom is also a cause for overeating, and can begin the cycle of emotional eating. Other factors are at play in emotional eating as well. For example, one who eats from emotion will often times head automatically for the refrigerator after they come home, without even realizing it. You may also find that it is hard to talk about emotions openly with others. Food takes the place of talking. If you suspect that you do have an emotional eating problem, the first thing you should do is to look at your feelings and try and discover which emotions are contributing to the problem. Monitor your behaviors and feelings when you are eating and try to be more aware at those times. When and How Notice when you eat and how much you eat. Eating when you are not hungry, eating too fast, or eating while ignoring something stressful, are signs of emotional eating. If you can notice when you are eating, move away from the food areas. You can go into an area until you calm down and allow your emotions to slow down. Try breaking up patterns and habits. For example, having a quick bite when you get home from work. Recognizing your patterns is the first step to breaking them, and becoming aware is the first step to recognizing these patterns and moving away from being controlled by your emotions. Five or Six Months to be Able to Function Normally After Your Stomach Stapling

By Tina Greatly With a stomach stapling surgery you will note that the surgery involves stapling part of the stomach in order to make it smaller. At the beginning of this surgery the surgeon makes an incision in the abdomen. Then Surgical staples and a plastic band are used to recreate the stomach with a smaller pouch at the top of the stomach. This pouch wont be completely separate from the stomach, but your food will catch in the pouch first and make you feel full sooner. Then once it digests it passes through the small quarter inch opening to the rest of the stomach and on to the smaller intestines. In a stomach stapling the surgeon will create a pouch for you that is between half a cup to a cup so that you dont eat too many calories at a meal before feeling full. After your surgery you can expect to be in a lot of pain. You will have numerous staples and wounds that are going to need a lot of time to fully heal. Your doctor will give you strong pain medication so it may be necessary to have someone else take care of your day to day business as you wont feel like doing very much for the first five weeks or so after the stomach stapling. You will spend about two to four days in the hospital if things go well. Many hospitals wont allow you to check out until youve used the rest and passed gas. This is in order for them to make sure that your bowels are working properly. It may take up to five or six months to be able to function normally after your stomach stapling. While it will take up to a full year for your new stomach to settle in so to speak. Read more stomach stapling articles and stomach stapling surgery news or visit our stomach stapling site. Save Marriage Steps - Saving Your Marriage

By Marc Lindsay When it comes to your marriage you would think that it is one of the most important decisions of your life. Yet some people do not treat it like that. In fact based on some of the decisions they make you would think the complete opposite. When your marriage is getting a little bit down and under the weather there are certain things you can do to help save your marriage and bring your marriage back to how it used to be. Fun, happy and enjoying life. The 8 steps to taking that first step to save your marriage are 1. Acknowledge the reasons for your problems This means accepting why you are having issues, so often this is not done and the problems will just keep building and building. 2. Be rational, reasonable and calm When you loose your temper in an argument, you tend to say and do things that you didnt really mean just to be spiteful. 3. Use space to your advantage Sometimes having a little space can make things much easier to deal with. Especially if you are both emotional. 4. Agree to Disagree It is a tough thing to do but sometimes when both parties cant come to a conclusion, agreeing to disagree is the best option. 5. Find a Middle Ground - Work to find an area where you can both agree and be happy with your decisions. 6. Work as a team You got married for a reason, to support each other and help each other through happiness and sadness. 7. Take it slowly - Dont rush right back to where you used to be after a major argument, take things slowly and work back up to where you used to be. 8. Be patient - As with everything patience is the key and will ultimately lead to a better more happy relationship. By following those 8 steps above you can usually work through most problems in a logical manner. It can not always be done this way because we all know that lots of emotion and anger can come into play sometimes. If this is the case then it could be worth seeking a marriage counselor who can help save your marriage. All in all it is never really too late to save your marriage so why not try something a little different out and you might just be able to save that marriage of yours. It is certainly worth the price. If you are looking to save your marriage or for marriage advice then Save Your Marriage will make marriage help easy. Collecting Ephemera

By Glyn Farber Do you collect Ephemera (e phem er a)? You just might and dont even know it, because Ephemera refers to hundreds of hand written or printed paper items published with a short intended life span or something short-lived and without lasting significance. The word Ephemera derives from the Greek meaning of things lasting no more than a day. Some of the most popular items that collectors classify as Ephemera are bank checks, baseball cards, billheads, bonds, brochures, business cards, calendars, cigar box labels & bands, greeting cards, invitations, labels, letters, magazines, maps, newspapers, pamphlets, paper dolls, passes, photographs, postcards, posters, stamps, posters, programs, sheet music, stocks, tickets, timetables, trade cards, trade catalogs and vintage valentines. Some types of Ephemera such as billheads, postcards and trade cards have been appreciated for years. In fact vintage postcard collecting has been around for a very long time and is still very popular today. Some of the other items mentioned above were generally thrown out over the years. Fortunately, there has been a few collectors with the insight to put a value on things that others did not. So take a close look at that box of old paper items found at Grandmas house. You just might find postcards sent to her by Aunt Lucy decades ago, letters your grandfather wrote overseas defending the United States, newspapers with headlines about the death of JFK, photographs she took while on vacation, and maybe even a copy of her wedding invitation. Twenty Five years ago antique and flea market dealers could hardly give away large boxes of paper ephemera. The very best and rarest old paper items will soon disappear from the marketplace. However, new ephemera is constantly being made. So do not miss out on this small part of Americana. Dont have any Ephemera of your own? Check out our favorite place eBay! Fat Loss Funnies - One Thing I Still Can’t Believe

By Brad Howard With all of the hoopla over losing weight and nasty bodyfat, it’s hard to believe that some people actually feel like they don’t deserve to lose weight. What are some of the reasons? The Setting How many people have you ever seen that start to lose a few pounds and then make comments like: It’s only temporary It must be the stress I’m under It must be water weight Well, instead of keeping on with whatever they were doing right, these people just chalk it up to being a fluke. Heck, this occurs even if the person has been REALLY trying to drop a few lbs. For these people, this really occurs when the weight just isn’t failing off fast enough. (Yet, another reason to ditch the scale and get your body fat measured). Many times, the first two weeks of any program can be more of a “reorganization” so to speak. Your muscle-mind connection gets stronger and you tend to gain strength rather quickly. Metabolism gains are beginning and for many people, the “feel good” period has begun. Look, just because things aren’t progressing as fast as you want, take heart. Things are happening. Remember, the tortoise wins this race, not the rabbit. It’s the consistancy of doing SOMETHING that will win over the sporatic doing of the RIGHT THING. I repeat, doing something that’s almost right all the time will win over you doing something that is right some of the time. Think about that for a second. So keep your head up, keep chugging, and great things will happen… I guarantee it. Brad Howard’s MindOverBodyMatter.com delves into the “meat and potatoes” of all of the misinformation generated by the diet and fitness industry today. He has an interesting review of Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle you need to read. Are you looking for the true “Secret” to weight loss? There is one, and it’s located within a report at The Secret to Weight Loss Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Brad_Howard http://EzineArticles.com/?Fat-Loss-Funnies—One-Thing-I-Still-Cant-Believe&id=458173 buy ultram online now order ultram with no prescription ultram online prescription cheap online tramadol no prescription
